During my first objective I want to talk about the history of censorship, referencing early examples right up to modern examples.
I shall research:
- Earliest example of censorship in photojournalism (Roger Fenton, crimean war photographs) Fenton was given a specific point of view his images were to show.
- Victorian censorship.
- Lady Chatterleys lover first published 1928. Was only allowed to be printed in the 60s
- 1960 revolution, floodgates, morals of Britain, watershed.
I think these are strong points to cover and I will not find it too difficult to find academic sources and quotes.
