We wanted adverts to break up the features and articles so I suggested I make a subscription page.
It was originally meant to be a single page advert but we decided to add another page when we realised it would be difficult to find a place where a single page advert will fit opposite another single page feature.
Here is the subscription page, before we added the second page.
Here I have added the second page which will be a form you can cut off and send in to subscribe to the magazine.
in the magazines I looked at, there are usually several past issues shown on this page to illustrate the collection of the magazine. However because this is our first issue we were not able to do this. I took a photo of some magazines stacked up and photoshoped the front cover of our magazine on top to create the illusion of many copies of Energize stacked on to of each other. But when we looked at it as a group we decided that it looked better if we just have the one front cover, it was a minor point of the magazine so it was not worth worrying to much about.
And here is the final subscription page. Most magazines have a free gift you receive when subscribing, we chose to give the Energize app for free if the readers chose to subscribe. Erik had an image of an Iphone he had used for the Cycle app article so I used that and create an app on the screen along with app logo. I added the sticker icon that Rob had made to the first page to advertise the free gift. I also looked at the issue of FourFourTwo we used as inspiration to see how they had structured their send off slip. I wrote up some terms & conditions and created a competition for a chance to win 12 months free subscription.
