This week we have looked at typeface, and how different fonts appeal to different circumstances, for instance, Comic Sans is used in primary schools because it is the only font that shows letters, how a child would learn to write them. However a major newspaper wouldn’t used as it has childish and humorous connotations.
We were then given a task where we had to create a magazine article layout, including; title, subheading, crossheads, pull quotes and copy. I found it difficult to cut down on the amount of copy whilst making sure it still made sense and described the subject enough. This is something I will improve on this year.
